The examination consists of two parts:
Written examination and written assignment. The written assignment must be submitted within one year of taking the examination. It must represent a realistic project situation from your working environment and demonstrate that you are capable of applying the acquired RE knowledge.
The exams will be evaluated by the certification body. The result will be sent to the contact address stated on your application. The written assignment will be assessed by experienced IREB assessors. After having passed both parts of the exam, you should receive your certificate within two weeks.
The scope of the work is about 10 to 15, maximum 20, A4 pages (font: 11pt, margin: 2.5 cm, single spaced). The written assignment has to be provided in English or German language.
The module Elicitation and Consolidation of the Advanced Level adresses professionals with career profiles like requirements engineering, business engineering, process engineering and organizational design, who is to extend their knowledge and skills in the areas of elicitation and consolidation of requirements.

The prerequisite for admittance to a CPRE Advanced Level module exam is a CPRE Foundation Level certificate or a certificate in Requirements Engineering from British Computer Society (BCS).

It is allowed to use Windows 7 and higher, Mac OS X and higher, ChromeOS and most Linux distributions (64-bit Ubuntu 14.04+, Debian 8+, openSUSE 13.3+, or Fedora Linux 24+).
The Google Chrome extension is required to share your screen. Please remember that it is not compatible with mobile devices. Please make sure that you have the administrator rights in order to add the extension to your browser.
You might be required to use the camera of your smartphone or tablet. You will need to download an app (34MB) which is compatible with any Android 4.1 or higher and iOS (Apple) 8.0 or higher.
In order to run the exam without any problems, you need to have a steady internet connection (Wi-Fi will be required for mobile streaming) with a minimum upload speed of 1MB/sec.
You will need to identify yourself before starting the exam. You can use your ID card, driver’s license, student card or passport.
